Abineau-Bear Jaw Loop

Located on the North slope of the San Francisco Peaks, near Flagstaff, Arizona, the Abineau to Bear Jaw trail is a roughly 8.5 mile loop trail with an elevation gain of nearly 1,900ft. In the shadow of Humphrey’s Peak (Arizona’s tallest peak), this challenging hike is a wonderful destination for Fall colors. We went in the second week of October 2022. Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed.
