I am the Outdoor Wanderer
My Passion
It all started when I was a child. My mom had a subscription to National Geographic Magazine. This was long before the internet. Each month I couldn’t wait for that magazine to show up. I would sit for hours pouring through it, reading about other cultures, places, animals, people. From day one I found myself longing to go to these places, to see them in person. Explore the jungle, visit ancient sites, climb mountains, sail the seas, trek through unexplored areas. I grew up in a very small town, so the idea of somehow leaving that town and exploring the world seemed almost impossible to that 10 year old boy. But one way or another, I knew my destiny would entail travel and exploration.
So my friends, thank you. Thank you for visiting our little corner of the internet where we try to capture the joy, the wanderlust of travel, and where we are trying to offer up something enjoyable and perhaps informative.
