Located along the Northwest Coast of Kauai, Hawaii, lies one of the more famous (and infamous) hiking trails in the world, the Kalalau Trail. Often cited as one of the world’s most dangerous hikes, the Kalalau Trail is a narrow, and often muddy, 19.8 mile trail skirting the steep mountains of the Nā Pali Coast. With steep drop-offs, cliff edges, and an overall elevation gain of 6,512 ft, or 1,985 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart and should be approached with caution. As you travel down the lush jungle trail, enjoy the astonishing beauty of Kauai, and you will understand why Kauai is called “The Garden State”.

Permits are required and dogs are not allowed. For more information, visit the State Park website - https://www.gohaena.com/.
